About Me
Emily Trisk
Psychology graduate Emily Trisk grew up in a Midland market town, longing to escape. Having now lived & worked in some wonderful parts of the UK (if experiencing a few major life traumas on the way) she is happily settled in North Yorkshire.
Emily is an experienced teacher of children with severe learning disabilities & has also worked in patient education, focussing on long-term health conditions. More recently she has supported adults with challenging mental health & has worked in a castle.
Whenever possible, Emily tries to look on the bright side in difficult situations. Despite having been treated cruelly by nuns when only five years of age, managing to avoid a couple of brushes with death, experiencing a 4.8 magnitude earthquake shaking her hospital bed (causing her to think she was experiencing a seizure but had somehow remained conscious) and being trapped in a prolonged spell of domestic abuse, she has done things she may not otherwise have had the opportunity to do and made friends with many incredible people along the way.
Emily loves to draw, paint, write, read, sing and people-watch. She often finds herself down rabbit holes of discovery. Fractured Lives is Emily's first novel. She is currently completing the research for her second & is ready for her characters to set off on their adventures. In the back of her mind, novel number three is also making its presence felt!Â
